约翰·休斯敦参与了原创剧本，为啥不亲自指导呢。和《马耳他之鹰》一样，片中有一个劣质的东方旅游纪念品。Greenstreet+Lorre也是《马耳他之鹰》的老搭档。三条支线略有些啰嗦，最后三条支线汇合的戏是最精彩最好看的，结局让人无法预计。

东方神秘主义的故事，观音还愿，但三个陌生人的命运却大不相同，三条线真的很散，汇合在一起才有种进入正片的感觉，相比较而言Peter Lorre的线是最精彩的，他饰演的角色相对来说也是最讨喜的。
